Who's The Leader?

Someone has got to go first. That's a leader.

Someone has to care enough to do more than just talk. That's a leader.

Someone has to take care of the mission, the idea, or the team. That's a leader.

Someone has to look inside and define who they are and what they stand for. That's a leader.

Someone has to listen to everything going on outside and make a choice. That's a leader.

Someone has to to be accountable for what they think, say, feel, and do. That's a leader.

Someone has to guide others where to go. That's a leader.

Someone has to help other people be who they dream of being. That's a leader.

Someone has to stand in front of the pack, the organization, the cause, the team, or the family. That's a leader.

Someone has to be themselves and work on themselves, yet sacrifice some of what they are for the others. That's a leader.

Someone has to be brave enough to take ownership of "the thing" yet remain humble and intelligent enough to delegate work load when necessary. That's a leader.

A title does not make you a leader. Your actions do.

Anyone can be a leader, for a moment or a lifetime.

And if you plan on leading, be sure you take the matter joyfully, seriously and passionately. People love following that sort of leader.

Practice.
